Beastie Boys' MCA Diagnosed with Cancer, Tour & Album Delayed
Yesterday we received the unfortunate news that Adam ‘MCA’ Yauch of Beastie Boys was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in his left parotid. Luckily the condition was caught early and localized, full recovery is expected. As a result of MCA’s illness, tour and album release plans will be pushed out to a later date.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs will stand in for the Beasties at Lolla, line-up changes for All Points West have not yet been announced. We’re hoping for a swift recovery and hopefully the opportunity to see the legendary Beastie Boys live soon! Enjoy the first single from Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 1 (originally scheduled for release in September), Too Many Rappers featuring Nas premiered last week on Zane Lowe.
