Chilly Gonzales + A-Trak at Joe’s Pub

Two weeks ago I had the pleasure of catching Chilly Gonzales‘ Piano Talk with Andrew W.K. at Joe’s Pub. It was definitely an awesome and unique experience, mixing musical comedy with classic piano compositions and a modern rock twist courtesy of Andrew W.K.

Last Thursday A-Trak joined Gonzales onstage for a mind blowing performance that went above and beyond the prior week’s by blending two unlikely genres flawlessly. A-Trak spun tracks by Clipse and R. Kelly while Chilly expanded and enhanced the set from behind his piano.

Other onstage guests included an oboe player and a random audience member who played a few notes while Chilly end his set atop the piano performing The Police’s King of Pain with his feet! Also spotted at the show was Dave 1 of Chromeo.
