Tasty Tunes: Kate Nash, Major Lazer, Crystal Castles, The Strokes, Hole

#4: Spring/Summer 2010 is shaping up to be a big one for music! This week’s installment of Tasty Tunes includes updates and new music from Kate Nash, The Strokes, MGMT,  Crystal Castles and more! Oh and don’t think I forgot about the BRITs from Tuesday night, stay tuned for my rants and raves!

Major Lazer recently unveiled plans to release a new EP this April titled Lazers Never Die. The first track unleashed to the internet is Sound of Siren featuring M.I.A. and Busy Signal. Other collaborators are slated to include Thom Yorke (yes you read that correctly), Buraka Som Sistema, Ms Banks and more. Check out Busy Signal below courtesy of PMA!

Crystal Castles have announced a slew of US and UK dates to preview new tracks from their highly-anticipated second album! We caught Alice and Ethan twice on their festival circuit last summer and cannot wait to hear the new material, check out the band’s MySpace for tour dates!

Kate Nash has shared a brand new track titled I Just Love You More from her upcoming album coming this April! In the new track, Kate channels a much hard-edged sound, sort of like Kim Deal meets Ida Maria. Check it out for yourself!

MGMT are set to release the follow-up to 2007′s Oracular Spectacular with Congratulations on April 13th. The band’s second album released as MGMT is said to be inspired by Lady Gaga and Kanye West and will apparently stray away from releasing any singles. Check out the cover art >>

Last night Courtney Love and “Hole” played the Shockwaves NME Awards Show at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire. Check out what NME had to say about the show.

As you should already know by now, The Strokes have been holed up at Avatar Studios in New York recording their fourth album slated for a September release. The band will be releasing video clips of their progress on the official website with behind the scenes footage. Check out the first installment below.

  3. Hole better have some amazing tracks hiding up their sleeves. Otherwise they will never live up to the original incarnation of the band and the infinite awesomeness of ‘Live Through This’.
