The Golden Filter at Brooklyn Bowl

Last week The Golden Filter unveiled a new song Hide Me just in time for me to memorize before their amazing performance Saturday night at Brooklyn Bowl.

The band played songs from their long-awaited debut album Voluspa (out on April 26) along with certified dance floor fillers Solid Gold, Thunderbird, Hide Me and an awesome synth-heavy cover of The White StripesThe Hardest Button to Button.

The 8-song set was flawless and left me even more anxious for Voluspa! Penelope Trappes has proved a captivating and mystique front woman, hiding behind shaggy bangs while dancing in the dark with percussion and ducking down between songs to turn a few knobs. A show not to be missed! Check out The Golden Filter at SXSW or when they hit a city near you!
