Dragonette and Class Actress Perform at Brooklyn Bowl While Kylie Minogue Bowls

Between the rain and being in lazy Sunday mode, leaving my apartment yesterday for Brooklyn Bowl was a struggle but one well worth it. I’d last seen Dragonette at Santos Party House and Class Actress at Highline Ballroom, both solid sets.

Class Actress aka Elizabeth Harper took the stage at nearly 9PM and wrapped with my new favorite song/ music video Let Me Take You Out, but when it came time to start our interview something really bizarre happened. One of the Brooklyn Bowl employees came up us (Elizabeth, her BFF Caroline from Chairlift and myself) and told us that Kylie Minogue was there bowling and had asked him during Elizabeth’s performance “Who is this girl, she’s great!” Needless to say the interview was temporarily put on hold while we went to speak with Kylie. Although it would have been awesome to capture, I do not have any pictures of Kylie Minogue to accompany this post (didn’t want to draw any unwanted attention to her.)

From there, Elizabeth and I went on to do the interview which in a few words was one of my most interesting and unique interview experiences yet (stay tuned.) Dragonette performed in front of a wall of lights while all of this was going on, looking and sounding pitch perfect. Spotted at the gig was Au Revoir Simone, members of Chairlift and of course the icon Kylie Minogue herself. What an epic way to end the weekend!
