The Golden Filter and The Hundred in The Hands at Mercury Lounge [Pics + Video]

Last time The Golden Filter played New York City  it was prior to the release of Völuspá at Brooklyn Bowl. This time I was able to sing along after having listened to the record a million times. Penelope let her hair down (literally) at last night’s show and revealed much more of her personality onstage while basking in the Friday night dance party that The Golden Filter created at Mercury Lounge.

Beside distracting jerks in the audience it was a fantastic night with 2 solid sets by The Golden Filter and one of my latest obsessions The Hundred in the Hands. Check back soon for my interview with The Golden Filter and be sure to catch The Hundred in the Hand next week at Cameo to celebrate the release of their EP The Desert.
