Cults and Magic Kids at Mercury Lounge

I’ve been meaning to see Cults live for ages and finally got the opportunity to last week at the sold out March 31st show at Mercury Lounge with Tennessee’s Magic Kids. Unfortunately Magic Kids had to cancel their Brooklyn show the night before at Knitting Factory due to their van breaking down on the road, but the show went on without a hitch last Thursday.

Cults and Magic Kids co-headlining bill complemented eachother’s sugary feel-good sound without stepping on one another’s toes. A fantastic night of music and the cherry topping/silver lining to a gloomy weathered NYC.

The joint American tour wraps on April 15th in San Francisco, while Cults venture across the pond to continue their spring tour. Follow Cults and Magic Kids on Twitter
