It’s been quite some time since we’ve seen or heard from the darling Lissy Trullie, but nearly three years since the release of her Self-Taught Learner EP she is back with her self-titled debut album! The first offering from the upcoming release was the ascending Madeline, with our second taste being It’s Only You, Isn’t It? available for download today!

Lissy Trullie’s debut full-length release will be out on April 10th and will feature production from John Hill and David Sitek. Be sure to catch her warm-up shows at this year’s SXSW. Gearing up for her much anticipated sophomore album, Ladyhawke has employed The Big Pink to give her latest single Black, White And Blue the remix treatment. Stream The Big Pink‘s (who just released their stellar sophomore record Future This) eery take on the track below. Anxiety is out on March 19th.

Her fourth studio album, recorded across the world with different collaborators, is due for release on Mercury Records in summer 2012. M.I.A.’s next single, “Bad Girls” taken from her Vicki Leekx mixtape, premiered on January 30, 2012, will be released globally the following day and a music video directed by Gavras for the song is set to be released on 3 February, 2012.

AND, don’t forget that her song with Madonna and Nicki Minaj Give Me All Your Luvin’ premieres on Thursday, February 2nd during American Idol, just days before the Superbowl performance! Update: M.I.A. confirmed her appearance to the press on Zane Lowe’s show tonight, along with the following:

“Yes, I’m going to the Super Bowl… I’m gonna be performing with Madonna and Nicki Minaj… If you’re gonna go to the Super Bowl, you might as well go with America’s biggest female icons.”

During the interview, MIA also spoke about her next solo album, saying that she is working on it with “European producers” and that she wants it to be released in the summer. “I want it to be a summer thing”, she said, “because it’s a summer record.”

‘Bad Girls’ is the first track to be taken from the singer’s as yet untitled fourth album. It is MIA’s first album for new label Mercury Records after she left XL Recordings at the completion of her contract. MIA’s fourth album, which is the follow-up to her 2010 record ‘Maya’, is rumoured to feature contributions from Swizz Beatz, Cataracs and Chris Brown.

M.I.A. has kept good on her word and will debut the Danja-produced track Bad Girls on Monday, January 30th at 2:30PM EST via Pitchfork. Romain Gavras once again takes directing duties for the video which will premiere via VICE’s Noisey YouTube channel on Friday, February 3rd.

The release of this new song will come just days before her performance with Madonna and Nicki Minaj on Superbowl Sunday, I do wonder if this means that Maya will have be performing it during the show. Below is a track from M.I.A.’s stellar mixtape Vicki Leekx (download) of the same name, no word on how similiar if at all the new song will be. Either way I am eager to see M.I.A. back from hiatus! In an interview with NME, Pip Brown aka Ladyhawke described the record as “It’s lot more rocky. The tone of it is definitely darker. It’s still poppy and fun, but I listened to a lot of guitar rock when I was writing it, stuff like Pixies, Blur, Nirvana and I’ve always wanted to make a guitar record. There’s no synth, but there’s some organ. It’s more of a straight-up rock record”.
